Round 2 is in the books!

I can't believe how much has changed in 6 short weeks.

Let's talk about some non-scale victories:

1. 5K training. 6 weeks ago, I was gasping for air after a 1 minute running interval. Now, I'm practically breezing through my 2 minute intervals. My heart rate is a lot steadier. I feel great, and I'm so excited for my 40th birthday 5K in just 2 weeks and 3 days.

2. My pants are all loose. I have to tug at them constantly, even my favorite sweats. I don't think they're quite at the point where I need to go dig out or buy the next size down, but by the time this next round is over, I think it's safe to say that will be the case.

3. This is going to sound like an odd thing to call a "victory", but yesterday was my "rest" day, and I ended up eating more of the "wrong" things than I had planned, and today, I felt like absolute bloated crap. As a matter of fact, today is my "new day 1" of my 3rd 21 Day Fix, and it's been kind of weak because I have pretty much just sipped water all morning and didn't eat my first meal until afternoon. Now that I've gotten a few cups of water and some healthy food in me, I am starting to feel better. So in a weird way, I consider that a victory because a few months ago, eating those same foods in the same quantity wouldn't have bothered me a bit.

Up next, measurements. So, this round's results weren't as big in the numbers department, but I did still see a 21 day loss. For THIS round, I lost 0.5" off my chest, 0.5" off my waist, and 0.75" off my hips. If you combine these results with the ones I got in my first round, I'm down a total of 10.5 inches from just those 3 measuring points in 6 short weeks. That feels pretty good!

Chest: 47---45---44.5
Waist: 45---41.75---41
Hips: 55---52---51

On the scale, I lost 6 lbs this round, which brings me down a total of 15 lbs in 6 weeks.

273.5---264.5---258.5

And finally, the pics! The difference is noticeable, if not super dramatic, for this 3 weeks. I think this time I see it most in how I've "narrowed", and it looks like my booty shelf (lol) is shrinking, too. I'll take it!

FRONT:

The green tank top looks a little looser this time, maybe?

SIDE:

Shrinking booty! I think my face is smaller, too.

BACK:

I'm narrower all over, right?

I rewarded myself with a set of heavier weights and a new workout headband.

People are starting to ask if I'm going to try some different workout program soon, but I think I'm going to stick with the 21 Day Fix workouts for a while longer. I'm still heavily dependent on many of the modified exercises, so I want to get better at those before I tackle the next thing.

So on to round 3, and we'll see where we go from there!
