After my first round, I took one "off" day before starting fresh. I went to Yassin's for lunch with a friend and had a falafel salad and french fries. Later that evening, I baked cookies and had 3 for myself before packing the rest away for Brad and the girls. Everything else I ate was clean, and I drank all of my water plus some. I didn't do a workout. Overall, it felt like an ok day, and I didn't feel like I had overdone it on the treats. I packed all of my food for the next day and was excited to keep moving with my program.
One of the things I didn't care for from my BFL days was the weekly "free day". The idea was to take one day a week and eat whatever you wanted. Ok. BUT! If you are someone who doesn't have a healthy relationship with food, this can (and often did) spell disaster.
Back to what I'm doing now-- the meal planning and prep and making good choices is starting to feel easier. More natural. Making time for the workouts is still a chore and a bit of a frustration, but I'm thankful for the at-home nature of the program because that does make it easier and eliminate some of the barriers (and excuses).
Here are some of my meals from different days this week:

Baked chicken, bean salad, crispy asparagus

Hearty vegetable soup and albacore tuna

Baked salmon and sweet potato with avocado and peppers, zucchini, and onion stir fry. SO delicious!

2 egg plus egg whites omelet with spinach and mushrooms, topped with avocado. Cinnamon oatmeal and apple slices.
And just for fun, here are a couple of still shots from a short video I took for my challenge group of me doing the Upper Fix workout. Someday, my arms will once again be free of the flappy bat wing ha!
